Amp XLR Input Plug

The back of my amp says Pin1 - Ground, Pin2 - cold, Pin3 - Hot. This is surely the wrong way around?

How do I test to see which Pin is HOT?

I am coming in with Pin1 - Ground, Pin2 - Hot and Pin3 - Cold (Like it should be)

Been searching the net but can't come up with anything that helps.
