Analogue to Digital Converter

Hi,

Hope all's well.

First post but been a lurker for a while now.

So I was given a Sansui P-D11 Turntable recently but found that it plays extremely low on my system (probably because my amp has digital inputs only).

I need some help please on whether I should amplify/convert the signal from the TT. The key factor is that the device should have a small footprint so as not to occupy a shelf itself on the TV cabinet.
