Another Headphones recommendation thread

My headphones have finally given up the ghost.

I'm looking for recommendations for headphones in two price brackets: [< R500] and [R500-R1000].  The application will be movies, music and games, probably in that order of use.  Sound isolation is not a must, so I'll look at both open and closed.  Source processing for the moment will be basic on-board audio.

Please assist.
