...for me, at least!
Trying to play a UK pressing (Virgin, V2433) of Warren Zevon's Sentimental Hygiene, I experienced both skipping and sticking, almost randomly.
Cleaned the record again, cleaned the stylus a few times, even increased the Tracking Force by anothe 0.5 - nothing seemed to help. :sd:
Took another good look at what is going on, and discovered the stylus is hardly touching the LP! Took another good look at the LP, and it so thin - almost half the thickness of a "normal" LP! :RTFM:
Now playing perfectly, on top of another record with an old thin slip mat in-between. And, of course, after this "tweak", it is almost as if Warren is right here in the room with me! :BWAHAHAH:
