In light of the Paradigm discussion yesterday: http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,41404.0.html
It seems natural to then as the same question about Anthem Power Amplification
As noted in the previous thread, I?m interested in upgrading my primary speakers, however I?m considering trying out some power amplification in first.
One again, Anthem isn't something I see much of around here, but I do see and endless stream of Rotel and NAD power amps going through the classifieds.
If you were in my shoes, (Cambridge Audio DACMagic, Marantz 6008, Paradigm Reference Studio 40 V 4?s) where would you start in terms of amplification?
I?m gravitating towards something in the 2 X 200 mark
All comment welcome
My room, while not ideal, is not all bad. It does have floor to ceiling curtaining across two walls, a carpet and a big couch. The lay out of the house is open plan so there isn't a rear wall to the listening area which has worked well.
