I have the IDS x64 system at my home that was installed by the previous owner.
One of the outdoor PIRs that cover a carport stopped working after becoming infested with ants. I replaced it with an Optex LX402 PIR that I wired using the same wiring sequence as the old PIR. The new PIR is powered up and detects motion in the area as the LED lights up.
Is there any other settings that I need to make on the panel itself for this new PIR? The zone it is connected to comes up as a "violated" zone continuously when the system is deactivated.
I wanted to see if I can connect it myself and resolve before getting an alarm techie to connect it for me. My alarm company charges R600 for their call out fee.
