So I stopped working at company X, and haven't been able to get a job.  So thinking it's a good idea, I did some mockup screens for company X, to try and create a job opportunity.  The screens were non functional, and purely to intrigue for the possible of a job.  I sent the screens to the PM who I believe showed it to the GM.

Last week I receive a letter from XYZ attorneys saying that I must give them full details op my program, and that my marketing and workings with other opposition companies are in violation of my agreement with company X.

So I sent them a mail stating that the screens are just screens, and that there is no functional things, and that it was sent to company X only.

So today I receive a mail from XYZ attorneys with a document attached that says things like:

I confirm that I am interdicted from, for a period of 1 (one) year calculated from
Day Month Year, whether for my own account, or in a partnership, or association
with, or as an employee, manager or agent, or as an interested party, in any
way, or any other person, firm of company, directly or indirectly, in connection
with any business in competition with you, or which deals in any goods or
services similar to yours:

lastly:

I confirm also that the screens that I sent to you are non functional mock-ups
that can easily be duplicated. These screens do not contain any trademarked
information or code, and was done while I was employed by you. There is no
abc application in development from my side, nor have I divulged any
trade secrets, codes or screenshots.

I made that part bold, because this is not true, I did the screens while not employed with the company.

Should I sign this, or will this set me up for trouble... I'm not really sure, and because I'm currently without job,
I don't really want to spend money on an attorney if it's unnecessary.

Thanks for any help regarding this.
