Hey guys
Im in need of some guidance, advice with regards to a 1998 W210 E280. Car fitted with the M112 engine. Problem is, we cant seem to access any of the modules like tcu or ecu etc on the vehicle. We have tried iCarsoft MB v1, Launch X431, Mercedes Star as well as a Delphi. Car initially locked in second gear, soft limp mode. Repairs have since been done, but now need to get into the modules to clear any faults still left.
Car does not use a 16pin OBD2 port, its still got the 38pin DLC under the hood. Got voltage at the 38 pin connector, checked all fuses and relays and its all good. Its just crazy that not even the Mercedes Star can connect to this car. ANy advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Guys on the MB forums seem to not read threads properly. As soon as they see anything other than Star, they immediately jump to conclusions. Keep telling me the only thing that works is Xentry. Mercedes Star is Xentry DUH!
