I was given one recently and I have to say that I'm quite underwhelmed by it... Places like where my folks stay have been there for about 7, 8 years now, while equally the main road to the stables has been there for most likely over ten years, and yet although the roads are indicated on the map, there are no road names given, which means you can't store an address. And now they want to knock me over R1000 to update the mapping system. Today it also completely guffed up a major intersection near where I live. My old Garmin also used to allow you to tap the screen at a place you'd arrived and store it as a favourite, which the TomTom doesn't do, forcing you to try and find the closest address possible with available info, for places like the stables. I'd have thought you'd at least get one free update, even if only for the province you stay in?
