Hello from NYC,
I am conducting primary research for a history of high fidelity audio. I am trying to include truly noteworthy products including those that may not have wide international acclaim but are the result of superior engineering. I came across Thomas Rogoff Audio, apparently South Africa?s leading audio firm, and am planning to highlight their two full-range ribbon loudspeakers. Unfortunately I have been unable to make contact with the firm. No reply to my email and constant busy-signal on one of the phone numbers which sometimes counter-intuitively means it?s out of service.
Is it possible that some member of your club can check on the firm and let me know if it still exists? Their contact info is below. All I need from them is the prices (in rands) for the Mobian B1 & Mobian A1 full-range ribbon speakers plus a PDF spec sheet that no longer appears on their website. It appears that these are two of the eleven most accurate speakers available regardless of price based on the engineering data I have available. I am a big fan of and have been helped in my research by Siegfried Linkwitz and it seems the Mobian speakers fulfill all his design requirements so I?m extremely glad to find them.
