Have one that is about 2.5 months old.

Not many apps, and none that use backround data/resources. Battery don't get through a normal day, nevermind an intense day with issues and surprises that must be dealt with.

They claim it has a 1810 mAh battery, drained it flat until it switched off, the plugged to a charger with mAh, mA, Volt and time measurement.

Takes 1h57min to drop below 10mAh (some good 12 minutes after it claimed to be 100% charged) and then only charged 1472 mAh.

Irrespective what power supply you use, charging current never goes above 1A.

On sites with weak reception, guys with galaxies and same carrier and what not still have signal where the iPhone just tells no signal. And when the reception is intermittent and weak it really grinds trhough a battery.

Personal hotspot is far worse and more unreliable than the techie's with their nokia lumia 630's.

Lots of apps and stuff you do not need and do not care about, but can't uninstall - force feeding the consumer.

Given all the hype expected much more, but the battery life is really restrictive for business use.
I guess to achieve the "Talk time: Up to 14 hours on 3G" you need:
- minimum volume
- super-strong signal
- minimum brightness
- low power mode engaged from the word go.

Some nice features, but definitely not worth the premium charged.
