Would like to know if someone has experience with this:
We have a Samsung 65" TV (QA65Q6FNA) running Tizen OS and as of late the Dstv app is behaving very unreliably. (Opens and then closes again) I have done all the resets that are mentioned online.
I have my Yamaha RX-V2080 connected from HDMI out (ARC) to TV's HDMI 4 in (ARC). This is the only input on the TV that supports ARC. This connection setup allows us to use only one remote (TV remote) for power on/off, navigation and volume.
What I'd like to know... If I get an Apple TV player for instance with ARC capability, how would I connect it so that I still only use the TV's remote to perform all the functions? Or is that asking too much perhaps? I love the fact that I only have to use 1x remote to control everything.
I have no other item connected to my amp. Only my HTPC and amp connected directly to my TV.
Any help would be appreciated.
