Are we still living in the "dark" continent?

I have been browsing on ebay and other overseas audio manufacturers'  websites and noticed well priced 300B and 2a3 SET amps. Wanting to indulge myself in this festive season, i decided to risk the purchase of one without auditioning. I was disappointed to note that no supplier is willing to ship to South Africa or any country in Africa. Do we have such a bad image internationally?
