I think most of us know that some people that are obsessive about their hobbies, are ritualistic and are a bit "geeky" might have an "Autism Spectrum Disorder" known as Asperger Syndrome. It can be hard for them and their friends, colleagues and significant others to cope and have mutual understanding.
Here's a test - not definitive but a starting point. "Aspies" as they call themselves are very happy to discover that there is something to explain their difficulties and to go on to improve things with awareness and cognitive training.
