So here we go....

I'm firmly in the last camp. Go Google the word an you will see that 90% of the links are articles and posts where people are making fun of the audiophiles and what thy get up to.

I like music and want to reproduce it faithfully within reason. (No snake oil but science) I love the DIY as its a nice hobby and a distraction from my day job. I like collecting the vintage kit and restoring it the same as some people would do with a vintage car.( I don't believe they sound better than newer kit.)

and this is in open talk as I expect it may be a little controversial.
