Ariston RD 40

I have an oppertunity to acquire an Ariston RD 40,which i must admit is not in good nick,the suspension springs have pretty much lost all its tension and the deck on a whole needs to be" re-vitalised".On the plus side, i can land it really cheap.My questions: How does this deck perform in relation to similar products in its league? Is it worth getting hold, in terms of having to revamp (parts,servicing etc )?
Guys,any advice in this regard would be highly appreciated...
