Job's done. I also decided to replace the sme headshell connector as it had some corrosion inside. The brass 'widget' has had a design change. The two brass components now move independently with a small SKF bearing inbetween so there's no drag on the armwires or arm.
Ortofon's thick armwires have also been replaced with new and correctly colour-coded litz.
