Is it just me, or are people expecting way too much for speakers that are 15 to 20yrs plus old? In some cases expecting to get almost the same as they paid?
I realise speakers and amps age better than many of the other products, which are more radically impacted by tech innovation, etc., but the the components, cabinets etc. are all subject to wear and tear just the same.
An example is the B&W 705/704 combo for sale in classified for R28k. I've had both and I loved them, but I would never pay that much. The 704's in particular were only working on the low end, with serious grunt up front.
Well it's just my opinion in the end though .... :sh1tstirrer:....
