Wow Rodney, have I only knew you're into these things before. It is a Audi A4 multitronic. Which from my understanding differs from the steptronic in the sence og variable gear ratio. Symptoms are that the PRND lights on the dash flash sometimes. When this happens it sometimes doesn't want to drive in reverse. A additional symptom that began later was the car would stall when driving slowly or shatter when one stops. Oh and the traction control light is on. According to Audi's diagnoses it was the gearbox control unit that causes the first symptom, and possibly the Lambda probe that caused the second. I was out of country when it all started, and my wife took it to a Gearbox specialist that was recomended to her by a friend. If only I took it to Audi, but didn't have R22 000 at the time. However, this guy has a big bussiness, and by the looks of his workshop didn't give me any reason to doubt him.
