I have a Yamaha RX-V477 AVR with Xbox, PS3 and Amazon FireTV Stick as inputs, all via HDMI. Output is an old Samsung 50" plasma TV. All support CEC so I typically like to control stuff via the preferred input device e.g. switch on the Xbox, and it triggers the AVR and TV to switch on.
The problem comes in when I switch on via a different input to what I last used. So if last night I was using Xbox and switched everything off, today I switch on the Fire Stick and the HDMI source on the AVR is wrong - each HDMI input obviously on its own input source.
Is there a way to setup auto input source switching or do I need a new AVR for that?
