Well, after years of serving my needs, my current Integra 50.4 has packed up. Currently I used it for all processing purposes and to drive my center and two rear surrounds.
SO, now I have been pondering about how do I go about upgrading. My first option was to get a processor, and then add a second power am to drive my center and back speakers. I been told by some shops that processors are phasing out and AV Receivers are the way to go. For this option I was considering the following: Emotiva BasX MC-700 Processor and A-5175 Amplifier Combo
Or the second option is to upgrade the AV Receiver. I'm a bit unsure as to which AV receiver brand would be an upgrade from the Integra, I was looking at Marantz and Cambride Audio.
I'm not to phased about all the new features like atmos etc. I love my simple 5.2 set-up and don't feel the need to add more speakers. So also don't want to go overboard with the AV rich features of which most I will never use.
Any other option I have not considered or which option above you'd you go for?
