Currently (don't laugh) I am revamping my home theatre setup to a dedicated stereo setup.(the room has been treated) So i am still using my Denon x2000 to power my Revel stereo speakers. I carry my dedicated headphone/dac amp (burson ha160d) to my living room. And use it as a pre-amp. And it does a fantastic job. I think. My question is. How much would i benefit spending R8000 -R12000 on a dedicated stereo power amplifier? Even though i am using the Denon purely as a power amp anyway? I think the Burson is a great dac and pre amplifier. So i dont see the need for having another dedicated pre amp. The Revels are rated at 88db sensitivity. So not the easiest to drive. But except for more power output. Would there be a huge difference in audio quality? Any other advice would be appreciated. Thank you
