Hi guys,

Some background before my question...
I've slowly started to upgrade my home theater. First was adding a projector and next on my list is the AVR due to the current one only supporting hdmi pass-through. I currently have a pci audio card in my htpc to give optical audio to the AVR. I'm waiting for the new Kerby Lake processors and will then upgrade my pc but the new motherboards generally does not support pci anymore - thus the need for better, more up to date AVR.

The current AVR is a certain Sony all in one that's about 9 years old.

The AVR I'm currently considering is the Denon AVR-X2200W. The one must-have of the AVR is a HDMI Zone 2 output to be able to switch between the TV and projector. I want to get something with the latest technologies because I don't tend to upgrade often.

Are there other AVRs I should also consider in this price bracket? I'm not 100% sure what else is available in this price bracket.

As for speakers, I'm keeping an eye on the classifieds here to upgrade the Sony's when something pops up. Im considering to run a 5.2.2 system in the end.

Thanks
