This is for all you electrical boffs.
I have a Grip 5500 Generator to our one building through the DB with essential loads connected through the manual changeover switch.
Inside I have a few servers that are powered by an APC UPS. No issue with this as they have Blu Nova lithium batteries.
The issue I have is when load-shedding is more than two hours, the UPS dies. It can charge off the generator but is not happy doing so. Clicks in and out of charge mode.
Should I fit another AVR in line with the UPS? Is it perhaps more of a case of the waveform of the supply from the generator being poor?
The AVR I have is an ACDC Dynamics SDC 3000.
