Hi All,

Need some help deciding what AVR to purchase as an upgrade to my Yamaha RX-V440. I have had my Yamaha for 8 years now and it hasn't given a days trouble but it really is time to get something that supports HDMI and all of the new sound formats.

My budget is around the 6k mark but obviously the less I spend the happier the wife will be  :angrywife:

Speaker wise I am currently running Whafedale Diamond 9.5's in front (hope to be upgrading them soon), B&W LCR60 centre and B&W DM600 S3's for surrounds. I will only be running 5.1 and doubt I will ever go more than that.

Here is what I have considered so far and some of the pro's and cons I have associated with them:

HK AVR 160 - Great price, 7.1 channel, older model so no 3d support (I have a 3D LED)
Yamaha RX-V375 - Good price but I am not so sure about the speaker terminals for the center and rears. May also be low on power?
Onkyo 414 - Around my budget for a demo model, maybe be worth spending a little more (about R800) for a brand new Yamaha V475?
Onkyo 525 -The price I got on the 525 was way over my budget, can get Onkyo 616 for R1000 less
Onkyo 616 - About R1000 over my budget but may be worth stretching the budget?
Yamaha 475 - Slightly higher than my budget but has pretty much everything I will need and more. I don't need features like 4k pass through right now
Denon X-500 - Good price but same concern about the speaker terminals as the Yamaha V375

Are there any others I should be taking into consideration? Any opinions or thoughts to help me decide would be greatly appreciated.
