Been playing around with these. They are on spikes. Compared to the CDM-7NTs I had I have to admit they sound a bit lean. Initial impressions are that they are power hungry and less forgiving with bad recordings than the 7NTs. I'm using more or less the same sources: Yamaha RX-V1900 into a Rotel RMB1066 (150watts @8ohms). I know that psychologically I need time to adjust to the change. I'm starting to think the Rotel may not be such a good match, but perhaps the speakers need a bit more time to run in.
But I thought maybe others who have experience with these speakers can comment. Bass is there, but I'd describe these speakers more as controlled and precise than warm and emotional. I removed the foam bungs and moved them closer to the wall, but bass is still less than the CDM-7NTs. Their strengths (my impressions so far) are that they are more articulate - they are at pains to place things correctly in the soundstage and stop and start parts of the music accurately. There is a decent amount of transience heard, but I wouldn't describe them as overly revealing
