I see that the first reviews of the new B&W Cm8 are out and over all good but bass response is lacking. I makes me wonder how they replace a good performer like the Cm7 with a mini version of the cm9 that over addresses the small room bass issue of the cm9 but it does not spec wise 'beat" the Cm7 and is the odd 20% more expensive? The Cm7 never was a good seller for B&W since the small gain in performance over the 683 did not really justify the expense- but I suspect they have made the same mistake here. Your options now really are limited to the 685 for bookshelf- 683/684- Cm9 and then the 800 series where you use to have the Cm7 right in the middle spec and price wise. Thoughts??? ???
