So my wife really knocked it out the ball park.  When she realised that my dirty little hobby of music, sound equipment et al was a little under threat by the arrival of a baby, she bought me these for my birthday.

Now I've noticed that in some circles it?s very de rigueur to beat down on B&W, but I have to say I?m very impressed with these headphones.

My question is this:  As these are classified as a mobile headphones, I imagine it means certain reasonable levels of sensitivity blah blah etc need to be met to ensure that one doesn't absolutely kill mobile phone batteries (or the like).  However, I primarily use mine while at home, and the baby has proven to be pretty resilient to surprisingly high volumes.  So, would a set of headphones like this A) Benefit significantly from a Head Phone amp, and B) Is there a real risk of damaging them when using one, as they?re design to accept pretty mild loads.
