I recently upgraded to Windows 7, and installed Trend Antivirus that you get for free when banking with ABSA.
But I realised that something is eating all my limited internet cap I have with Iburst. I googled and see suggestions that I must install a program to track internet usage. did that and find it is the virus software that constantly downloads. But strangely, the program's icon do not indicate, like it did on windows XP, that it is busy updating. Why does the program steal my bandwidth? How do I stop it? I don't believe it is because it is installing updates. The program I installed to view internet usage even provided the IP adress that data is send to. I found out that the IP adress is somewhere at Microsoft. Why do my antivirus program report to Microsoft?
Before, like in three days or so ago, I still had Windows XP, and the same Trend software, but none of this problems.
What did I do wrong ;D
