I've not seen any one build 'proper' bass traps ala Ethan Winer on this forum. A couple guys (Audiomuze and CAD and I'm sure others) have made chunk traps and I've heard the massive difference it makes. However, the bass traps that Ethan describes http://ethanwiner.com/basstrap.html are much smaller, probably cheaper and looks better than chunks.
So, is chunks more effective? Or just easier to build?
