Hi Guys
I am looking at using my 683 speaker boxes/packaging to build my bass traps. I am planning to drill holes on the boxes using hole maker which u attach to the drill and then stuffing the empty boxes with Energy lite 80 and the cover with black material.
Quick question:
1) How can I make the boxes stronger, was thinking of using the tape which is used when painting to rap around the box?
2) The box is about 985mm x 340mm if not slightly bigger, which means the width of the Energy lite stuffed inside will be about 330mm thick? Is this going to be an over kill? I am only planing to make two bass traps of maximum height 1000mm, I don't like the look of the floor to ceiling bass traps.
If only using two bass traps which is the ideal spot, behind speakers corners or front corners?
