I'm having a pernicious/can't be sure problem with a needle under test. I've checked and triple-checked all the usual culprits, changed amps, pre's, cables, connectors and step-ups but the sound level on one channel 'sounds' softer than the other.
Everything about the cartridge checks out OK.
I have not yet swopped channel wires and will do so later tonight.
I'm thinking about adding an SPL? meter to my test instruments and had a look at Communica's website and found a model MAJ MT975 (30dB to 130dB) @ a little short of R4K incl VAT.
Would you know of a better deal elsewhere?
Thanks
