Best free player for FLAC files

Hi
I am currently using WinAMP for playing back all of my music when sitting in front of the laptop. Is there any better players or will WinAmp do the job just fine.
Curious to know if there are software that might give better quality/detail results.
Must be free as I am still experimenting.
