My room has terrible, terrible acoustics. Way too much glass and tiles. While I have done a boat-load of room treatment (carpets, plants, paintings, curtains and acoustic panels) there is still an annoying hum at 125Hz. I have not been able to eliminate that hum despite my best efforts. That is just the way the room sounds, I guess. I have however managed to remove this hum, by turning down that frequency on Foobar's built-in graphic equaliser. All other frequencies are neutral except for that one. And now my room sounds pretty darn good. I cannot do this on an app like Tidal for instance. This is why FLAC file playback will always trump streaming (for me personally).
