Hi All. I'm new to the forum, pls excuse me for raising a topic that might hv been raised elsewhere. Some low lifes recently nicked some of my CDs. I'm thinking of rippin off my CDs into a multimedia player in wav or flac (Mede8er) and getting a DAC (DACMagic is priced nicely and apparently good). Will this set up offer any advantage over my SONY SCD XA3000ES cd/sacd player? The SONY's price when new back in 2005 was +R10k, so its not a cheapie. My set up is CA 540A/V, CA DVD89, SONY XA3000ES, VELODYNE CHT10R, AUDIOQUEST CABLES, B&W CM7.
