Hi,

I was just wondering how I can go about bi-amping my 802's. I have read a few pages and it seems as if it is a relative easy thing to do. The planning is as follows:
- use a splitter each at the pre-amp left and right output to split the signal in two. I tried looking at the best I could found, but even those doe snot inspire confidence.
- Connect the 4x output RCA cables to two power amplifiers. The Left power amp will power the left speaker and the Right amp will power the right speaker.
- Connect the output cables of each channel to the respective binding post after removing the connectors between the binding posts (not really relevant as I have been bi-wiring them since I got them). The one channel drives top and the other channel drive bottom. I will use the same length and make of RCA and speaker cables.

Question is:
- What are the risks of blowing up the speakers.
- Should the speakers still be balanced (sound level mid/top vs sound level bottom)
- Should I can the idea of using a cheap splitter and rather get something that would split the signal using op-amps or similar?

Anything else I did not consider ?

Thanks

Morn?
