So I've been thinking. If I build another F5, I'll have four power outputs. So how about I build a 2-way active crossover pair between my SRPP to feed each pair of boards in the F5s. One board can feed the woofer directly, and one board to feed the mid/tweeters through a passive crossover, per side.
Is this a plan worth pursuing?
I could use the design from ESP (http://sound.westhost.com/project08.htm or http://sound.westhost.com/project123.htm), and the beauty is that I can tune the XO really easily by just changing resistor pairs.
The downside is perhaps losing some of the benefits of the SRPP by pushing it through a bunch of op-amps. Unless a build a second one and put the active XO first. Eeeek. Also, the SRPP has a fair amount of gain, would it be a problem feeding it into this kind of circuit?
