Gentlemen,
SO i decide to get my self two bicycles, at game - didn't give it much though - as these were going to be used in for riding around the hood, taking back the movies hired the day before (etc). At the time i thought, it shouldn't be a problem - since there'l be no serious riding on it.
A few Sat's back - a mate of mine pulls in, in the am's - we take the bikes for a spin, and after riding down a few stairs - the bikes chain packed up, took it for repairs - and now packed up again from going uphill. (No Jokes)
I find the bikes to be extremely useless, and the guys who own the repair shop - are not so keen at fixing it, as they say ill always come back with something new that's broken.
SO - can anyone recommend a descent brand i can get - for the above mentioned?
I know anything with a Shimano mechanism is descent (as i've owned one - and it never broke despite any abuse ;D).
Can i replace the mechanism with a descent one, as opposed to getting totally new bikes?
