Hi everyone,

Dont know if someone would be interested, but this will be a SLOW and maybe slightly expensive restore. It will involve few candidates, but for now Im starting at [1].

Why am I sharing it ? Well I have a serious fetish for TT although a listen to an LP maybe once a month. Yeah I know, kind of screwed-up. But I cannot keep my hands of any TT and for some reason I have been BLESSED, really BLESSED with finding a few hens teeth and their fillings! New or mint I cannot even pay a deposit on their overseas prices, but yet, here they are now.  :Ooooooh:

[1] Nakamichi TX-1000
[2] Thorens Prestige
[3] EMT 948 and its TD524 brothers
[4] Kenwood LT-07D
[5] TD-124
[6] Garrard 301

There are 4 or so other candidates that needs to be set up properly but I dont quite have the skill yet. The Kuzma air bearing arm is a nightmare.....

I would love to LEARN few things from fellow experts. Things like:

1. How to examine the bearings, what oil, how do you clean it. ideas
2. The wood, what options. What to do and HOW ? (Im cursed/blessed to be programmer) so woodworking skills are non existing
3. Electronic Ill sort out, power supplies (Hack an iFi iPOWER or two here ?)

[As God is my witness, now I miss Guillaume!!)  :'( :'(

4. What arms to try, length. What gave best results etc. etc.
