Strange situation with blu ray, if I connect any brand of player directly to the TV, I have no problems. If I connect any brand of player to a 15m HDMI or HDMI to cat-5 converter and keep the cables rolled up and connect to the TV at the TV, I also have no problems. If however I stretch out either the 15m HDMI or the Cat-5 converter the signal alternates between just sound or just picture. I can run any other 1080p signal over the same cable and it works perfectly. This problem is ONLY with blu-ray, even if I reduce resolution to 576p on the blu ray player. My client is very concerned as he is worried that this is a result of a blu-laser frequency interference and is concerned that it could be hazardous. Any suggestions?
