Greetings AVforumites,
First of all, no, this is not a request for advice on furniture for book storage. I'm looking to upgrade the loudspeakers in lounge system (Tannoy MX2s, driven by NAD C720BEE receiver; source: NAD C515BEE cdp, NAD 5025 turntable). There's also a Wharfedale SW150 sub in the mix for low-frequency bump.
I recently auditioned the Boston Acoustic A26 and Monitor Audio Bronze BX2s, of which the MA was for me much better suited to my tastes (not too forward, warm, not but too warm, in the midrange, and good clarity all round). At this point, I'm also ready to plump for a new pair of the BX2s. But I'm also tempted, that is to say, very tempted by the B&W DM 602 S3s - if only I could find a good condition second-hand set.
What do you think of these and are there other bookshelves I should be trying for taste? Budget is R2500k (2nd hand) to R4k (new).
