Ever since [member=2808]BiZKiT[/member]  posted about a bookshelf shootout that he did, I?ve been DYIng to take my DIY bookshelves to him, to see how they stack up. He was kind enough to have me over on Saturday morning ? and it was extremely cool.

As with everything DIY (at least, in my case) ? there is always this fear that something was done incorrectly. I don?t have any high-end equipment to test my stuff with, but Morne has amps that have amps, that are still bigger than my amp. We used a Marantz and a Rotel amplifier for all tests ? but Morne will have to fill in the details ? I just know that they look and sound beautiful  :groovy:

My room at home is quite big with zero treatment, so to hear my speakers with proper equipment and in a good room was great for me. I won?t go into details of what we all listened to ? because I don?t know the model numbers, and besides, it?s not fair for me to comment (a bit like comparing your kid to others). I can say that just about everything sounds good on that equipment, and I was pleasantly surprised by mine  :rubhands:

If my day ended there, I would have been happy, but it did not. I spent another hour in two cinema rooms. This was nothing short of incredible ? so much better than anything you can hear in the movies, and AV systems that I will need to start saving for. Especially that laser projector ? yummy. Thanks Morne for your time, appreciate it - and your business is aptly named.
