I had recently dropped my faithful Nokia 6300 (Nokia for work purposes) and for some reason the battery doesn't last as long as it used to. I therefore needed a new phone and my spare android is with the S.O. so the only option was to use my ma's 8520 blackberry which is from her previous contract.
As we all know the phone is fairly useless without bis except for calls and sms's and that's when I turned to Google. In general the phone is able to use certain functions on wifi only, but if you go to advanced options and enable APN the phone is able to do other stuff on the normal network data connection. So far I've managed to get opera, whatsapp, viber and logicmail to work(logicmail for push email. Crappy gui but it gets the job done and using Imap so the entire mail is not downloaded to the phone). The only glitch is that you need wifi to download the apps but other than that the apps function off the normal network data. Connection seems faster.
