Budget Amp and Speakers - Opinions

Anyone can advise on the Marantz 5003 Amp. Anything else in that range I should be looking at ?

Also, the B&W 685's. any comments on it's sonic signature mated to such an amp. The alternative is the Monitor Audio BX2 or RX1.
