So, for a long time, Hi-Fi stereo was all about component separates...
I bought my Rotel RA-12 a while back, it was one of the very few 'digital' amps around, and the idea of getting the 'good bit' of a 7 or R8k CD player for R4k with a little extra power to boot, was very appealing. Recently it seems more stereo equipment is coming out with built in DACs, e.g., NAD 3020D and Marantz PM6005
Some even integrate full-fledged network players with an array of wireless connectivity, e.g.,
Marantz M-CR510, Cambridge Audio Minx Xi, NAD D7050 and the new Yamaha R-N500 which basically seems to be the CD-N500 crammed into the A-S500 without the CD player.
Do you guys think this will become more common in the budget segment?
