I'm busy building my first system and learning a lot as I go along so please bear with me
I recently bought my first AVR- Marantz sr5007 ( thanks to forum members ).
I'm currently on the lookout for speakers to pair with it.
First up- main speakers.
Initially though about getting bookshelves as my mains but now looking for small floor-standers.
Can get a pair of Kef iQ 50's now basically new ( that I really do like a lot ) or pay a bit more for Boston a250's or monitor bx5's. Actually a good R3k more for the monitors.
I've got quite a bit of time on my hands to sit and wait for the perfect pair but unfortunately the kef speakers won't be around for ever.
I've heard the iQ50's before with brother in law's yamaha avr but unable to demo them on my marantz.
For 4.5k a good buy or not?
What should be next on my shopping list? Rears? Centre? Sub?
