burn time

Who here thinks that you need to  :flame: burn in an amplifier?  Or run in a pair ok speakers. Is this another audiophile snake oil story that we get sold. Is it just our ears adjusting to new equipment.
If anyone has had any tanjable experience with this could you share your experience
