For some time I?ve been wanting to put together a butcher block trolley. Not for actual kitchen use but as an ornamental furniture piece. No idea why really. The block itself I put together a year ago with leftover material from another job and has been waiting in the workshop for me patiently. Some people get strange ideas...
Anyway, as I spend more time listening to music than watching movies on the Marantz setup in the lounge, I?ve decided to dedicate a spare room for a stereo system and just last week received a new member to the family...a Perreaux 80i. With nothing to place it on, I decided to adapt the butcher block build to serve as a rustic cabinet for the stereo room. Later it will provide space for records on the bottom shelf and a TT on the block itself. This is how it turned out...
