Somewhat of a n00b question. I don't buy used cars often. I buy used amps and speakers and what not. who needs cars anyway?
The last time I bought a car was many moons ago and under the advice of several elders. it was a car from a dealership that dealt in that car. eg a toyota from a toyota dealership.
now say for example i see a jaguar being sold at a Chevy dealership. (the jag must have been a trade-in)... what are the pros and cons of pursuing such an opportunity.
usually the advice I'm given is to buy X from an X dealership. Not a Y dealership. the Y dealership will not offer the service plans that might be still valid (age/Mileage)... is this true?
from just looking around seems like they do come cheaper if that is the case. an X dealership sells X at a higher price. whereas a Y dealership will sell a similar X for a lower price... as much as 50K lower
as they say, iron while the strike is hot..... wait.
