Buying property in Western Cape: Noordhoek or Hermanus?

I'm thinking of buying a holiday home/ something to retire to later on either in Noordhoek or Hermanus.  I've always been partial to Noordhoek whilst I've been asked to consider Hermanus also.  Last I heard property prices in Hermanus were pretty depressed, so it could offer some bargains, but I'm more interested in capital appreciation than I am necessarily interested in snapping up a short term bargain.

For the locals and those that know the Western Cape property market - which would be preferred (gut/ bias says Noordhoek)?
